Every year, we partner with a nonprofit organization as part of our commitment to expanding outdoor access, representation, and meaningful connection to nature within Latino communities. Through Juntos Outdoors, we support leaders who are creating welcoming spaces, removing barriers, and inspiring more families to build lifelong relationships with the outdoors.

Nosotros En Naturaleza (NEN) is a Seattle/King County–based, community-led initiative dedicated to expanding equitable access to the outdoors for young adults from Latine, BIPOC, and other historically underrepresented communities.

At NEN, they believe the outdoors should be a place of belonging, not intimidation. Many young people face barriers to outdoor access — including lack of transportation, gear, representation, and culturally relevant spaces. NEN's work exists to remove those barriers and reimagine outdoor recreation as something welcoming, empowering, and community-centered.

We host immersive, guided hiking experiences that go beyond the trail. Each outing integrates environmental education, cultural connection, and leadership development while prioritizing safety, joy, and accessibility. We provide transportation, cultural representative food, gear support, and experienced guides so participants can fully show up and enjoy the experience without added stress.

Our work is rooted in our three C’s: comunidad, cultura, and creating opportunities for nosotros (us) — building confidence, strengthening connection, and deepening relationships with the land.

Through partnerships like Juntos Outdoors with Itacate Foods, we’re able to reach more young people, strengthen community ties, and continue building a future where the outdoors truly belongs to all.
